Why are we holding this raffle?
This raffle is held to benefit I&M Canal National Heritage Area programs that help tell our area’s stories, protect nature and create opportunities for families and children to engage in hands-on activities. As the coordinating entity of the I&M Canal National Heritage Area, the Canal Corridor Association is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that receives SOME federal funding. But, we must match all federal funds dollar for dollar with local funds. This is why donations, like purchasing these raffle tickets, are so crucial: if we don’t match, we don’t receive the federal funds.
