Morning Paddle

Enjoy a morning paddle with certified instructors at the confluence of the DuPage and Des Plaines rivers. Along the way, interpretive naturalists will highlight some of the wonderful things nature has to offer.
Fee: $20 per person. Age: Ages 18 or older. Registration required by Tuesday, July 23, by calling 815-722-9470 or online.
Meet at the kayak launch at McKinley Woods — Kerry Sheridan Grove. Wear shoes and clothes that can get wet, and don’t forget your sunscreen, sunglasses and a water bottle. Previous kayaking experience is required, as this is a recreational program and not an instructional paddling program.
The natural surface launch area is accessible by a paved trail from the parking lot. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
