5th Annual Bronzeville Juneteenth Celebration

June 14 @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm

The Black Star Project, in partnership with Absolutely Anything Essential, Chicago Defender Charities, and State Rep. Kam Buckner, is proud to present the 5th Annual Bronzeville Juneteenth Celebration—a vibrant, family-friendly event honoring Black freedom, culture, and community resilience.

This year’s celebration will feature:

  • Live performances by local artists
  • A Kids Zone with fun activities and youth vendors
  • Delicious free food and community resource tables
  • Black-owned businesses and artisan vendors
  • Father’s Day & Men’s Health Month recognition, featuring the Illinois Fatherhood Initiative Awards

Juneteenth is more than a celebration—it’s a time to honor the legacy of freedom, reflect on our progress, and uplift the voices and talents within our community. With hundreds of attendees expected, we’re creating a space for joy, unity, healing, and empowerment on Chicago’s South Side.
