SAVE THE DATE!

The Boat Captain’s Luncheon, started by Canal Corridor Association Chairman, John Trutter, in 1992, is an annual gathering of canal supporters from throughout  the IMCNHA celebrating the work and passion of its volunteers.

The 26th Boat Captain’s Luncheon will take place on Friday, April 14th, 2023, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, held at the stunning Bolingbrook Golf Club, located at 2001 Rodeo Drive, Bolingbrook, Illinois.

The Illinois & Michigan Canal National Heritage Area (IMCNHA) is a collection of places and a community of people and organizations who cherish the stories, history, buildings, and landscape of those places. This year, we are celebrating some of the Placekeepers, Storytellers, and Builders among us.

The following honorees will be celebrated at the luncheon this year:

Village of Lemont

LaSalle County Historical Society

Friends of the Portage/Forest Preserve of Cook County

City of Joliet/Joliet Museum

Friends of Chicago River

Seneca History Museum

Mazon Creek Fossil Crew
