Wild Child on the Road: Hickory Creek Preserve
November 22 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
We are taking Wild Child on the road this season, visiting different preserves around Will County. Answer the call of your wild child by getting your toddler outside with this monthly nature-themed program. Join a naturalist for hands-on activities, such as games, stories, crafts, hikes and more! The last Friday of each month we will have something new for you and your child to explore while getting a little dirt on those hands and knees.
Fee: Free! Age: Ages 3-5. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.
Registration required by Wednesday, Nov. 20, by calling 815-727-8700 or online.
Please register everyone in your group, both children and adults.
Dress accordingly and be prepared for all outdoor activities, as well as experiencing all weather types (rain, shine and even snow). Meet at the first parking lot at the Shagbark Grove Shelter at Hickory Creek Preserve — LaPorte Road Access.
Trails are on natural, uneven surfaces. The walkways to the shelter and the nearby latrine are accessible. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
