DESCRIPTION:As winter closes in and the nights get longer\, imagine what life was like for people in a time before electricity\, when Will County was dominated by prairie grasses. Learn about the three generations of the Clow family and their farmstead all by the light from lanterns. A naturalist will share stories of life back then as we examine the inside of the 19th-century buildings and explore the grounds of the preserve. \nTwo sessions will be offered: \nSession 1: 4:30-6 p.m. \nSession 2: 6:30-8 p.m. \nFee: Free! Age: Ages 10 and older. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult. \nRegistration required by Wednesday\, Nov. 6\, by calling 815-722-9301 or online. \nThis program takes place outdoors on crushed limestone trails and indoors with some uneven surfaces. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
