SUMMARY:Hometown Holiday Tree Lighting & Light Parade
DESCRIPTION:Join us to celebrate the holiday season at the annual Hometown Holiday celebration on Friday\, November 28th! Starting the festivities is the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony starting at 5:30PM on Washington Street\, south of the historic Livingston County Courthouse. The ceremony will include a performance by the PTHS Madrigals and announcements of the WinterFest 2025 Tree Sponsors. Follow the announcements is the Light Parade\, which will kick off at 6:05PM throughout Downtown Pontiac. The parade route will begin at the 1st Lutheran Church Parking Lot and continue to Washington Street\, where each float will be announced as they pass. Floats will continue from Main to Madison Street and end in the County Market Parking Lot.\n

SUMMARY:The Great Race - Lunch Stop Pontiac
DESCRIPTION:The Great Race 2025 is coming to Pontiac!\nOn Monday\, June 23rd\, a hosted lunch stop will be held in Downtown Pontiac for the famous vintage car rally. Each stop on the Great Race is free to the public and spectators will be able to visit with the participants and to look at the cars for several hours. It is common for racers to allow kids to climb in the cars for a first-hand look. \nCars will enter Pontiac at 1PM and exit at 4PM and is completely free to enter! \nThe 2025 Great Race will begin on Saturday\, June 21 in St. Paul\, Minnesota\, surrounded by a crowd of thousands at the MSRA Back to the 50s Weekend car show at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. \nNine days later\, on Sunday\, June 29\, the race will finish in Irmo\, South Carolina\, near Lake Murray.
