DESCRIPTION:Our annual Hummingbird Fest has been reworked this year to allow more visitors to see the fan-favorite banding of the hummingbirds and puts the spotlight on our fast\, feathered friends and other pollinators. The Lincoln Land Association of Bird Banders will have certified banders on site for you to observe the hummingbird banding process. Funding for the banding is made possible by the Thorn Creek Audubon Society. \nBeyond the banding\, learn how to take action at home to help pollinators of all kinds. View the live monarch and honeybee displays. Play like a hummingbird and shop vendor row for bird-friendly merch including native plants from The Nature Foundation of Will County. \nFee: Free! The hike will be 1 mile to 1.5 miles long on natural surface trails over uneven terrain. There are two points on the trail with a steep elevation change.
