DESCRIPTION:The Boat Captain’s Luncheon is an annual gathering of canal supporters from throughout the IMCNHA celebrating the work and passion of its volunteers. Come and help us celebrate seven honorees from Chicago the LaSalle County. \nThe following honorees will be celebrated at the luncheon this year: \nVillage of Lemont \nLaSalle County Historical Society \nFriends of the Chicago Portage & Forest Preserve of Cook County \nOld Joliet Prison Preservation Coalition \nFriends of Chicago River \nSeneca History Museum \nMazon Creek Fossil Crew \nStarted by Canal Corridor Association Chairman\, John Trutter\, in 1992\, the 26th Boat Captain’s Luncheon will take place on Friday\, April 14th\, 2023\, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM\, held at the stunning Bolingbrook Golf Club\, located at 2001 Rodeo Drive\, Bolingbrook\, Illinois.  \nThe Illinois & Michigan Canal National Heritage Area (IMCNHA) is a collection of places and a community of people and organizations who cherish the stories\, history\, buildings\, and landscape of those places.
