DESCRIPTION:The Great Race 2025 is coming to Pontiac!\nOn Monday\, June 23rd\, a hosted lunch stop will be held in Downtown Pontiac for the famous vintage car rally. Each stop on the Great Race is free to the public and spectators will be able to visit with the participants and to look at the cars for several hours. It is common for racers to allow kids to climb in the cars for a first-hand look. \nCars will enter Pontiac at 1PM and exit at 4PM and is completely free to enter! \nThe 2025 Great Race will begin on Saturday\, June 21 in St. Paul\, Minnesota\, surrounded by a crowd of thousands at the MSRA Back to the 50s Weekend car show at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. \nNine days later\, on Sunday\, June 29\, the race will finish in Irmo\, South Carolina\, near Lake Murray. On this one-day tour of ag sites in Northern Illinois you’ll have rare\, behind-the-scenes access to sites like a pumpkin farm\, centennial barn\, dairy farm\, museums\, and local food and flower producers that tell the region’s stories and more. You’ll also have opportunities to view historical and modern-day farm implements\, see live demonstrations and browse ag-related products for sale. All along\, you’ll discover the area’s agricultural history\, architectural elements of the properties and what it means to be a farmer in the 21st century.\nThis is a self-guided\, driving tour that includes eight locations.\n\nCheck in with your ticket receipt at the Dollinger Family Farm (the most southeastern stop: 7420 E. This year there will be walking tours in the community and optional bus tours that focus on different events and topics including the Great Migration\, the Walk of Fame\, and preservation work that continues in Bronzeville. The afternoon events include a community forum featuring businesses and services as well as current and future places to visit in Bronzeville such as the Bronzeville Trail and the National Museum of Gospel Music. \n
