DESCRIPTION:The Great Race 2025 is coming to Pontiac!\nOn Monday\, June 23rd\, a hosted lunch stop will be held in Downtown Pontiac for the famous vintage car rally. Each stop on the Great Race is free to the public and spectators will be able to visit with the participants and to look at the cars for several hours. It is common for racers to allow kids to climb in the cars for a first-hand look. \nCars will enter Pontiac at 1PM and exit at 4PM and is completely free to enter! \nThe 2025 Great Race will begin on Saturday\, June 21 in St. Paul\, Minnesota\, surrounded by a crowd of thousands at the MSRA Back to the 50s Weekend car show at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. \nNine days later\, on Sunday\, June 29\, the race will finish in Irmo\, South Carolina\, near Lake Murray. DESCRIPTION:Riverfest 2025 \n\nThe RiverFest is a family event that offers a restful summer picnic (bring your lawn chairs & a blanket!) with great live bands featuring the “American English” a Beatles tribute band. There will be food trucks\, a children’s play area\, and Maker’s Mart. \nTickets can be pre-purchased via this link (online ticket sales will close on Sunday\, June 29 at 9 am). Print your ticket or show a confirmation on your phone to get your entrance wristband. All guests over the age of 8 will require a wristband for entry. Children must be accompanied by an adult. \nTickets will also be available for purchase on site using cash or credit. Prices will be higher at the door than when purchased in advance online. \nAll ticket sales are final. No refunds due to inclement weather. \n\nOnline Adult ticket (ages 14+) – $10 ($12 at the door)\nOnline Youth ticket (ages 8-13) – $8 ($10 at the door) Includes entry to the children’s zone if desired.\nOnline Child ticket (<8) – free admission\, but $5 for entry to the children’s zone\nOnline Family ticket (two adults and immediate family): $40 ($50.00 at the door). DESCRIPTION:This ongoing event will be held from Wednesday\, July 2\, to Thursday\, July 31. \nHours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. \nWednesdays to Sundays. \nGet outside this summer and take on a few nature challenges! Start by visiting the front desk at the nature center to pick up your spinner card. Then head to the play area or take a hike spinning along the way. Spin to see which challenge to do first. Challenges include searching for items\, rolling logs\, acting like animals and more. Spin a few times or spin 10 times. Each card will be randomized and have different activities so the fun can continue during multiple visits. When you are all challenged out\, come back to the front desk for a reward. \nAll ages! \n
